At FWF Wellness we place high value on education among our staff. It is our responsibility as fitness professionals to stay up to date with the latest science and techniques so that we may best serve our clients. Our staff are highly educated, experienced, and knowledgeable. This allows us to create safe and effective classes, training sessions, and nutrition plans for our clients.
When searching for the right trainer, it is important to look for someone who not only has experience but for top level education as well. Personal training has come a long way over the years and the industry standards place the highest value on a trainer who can not only show you what to do but to also make sure they create a program that is safe for your respective movement patterns, health needs, and orthopedic problems should they exist. We train children all the way up to the senior population and we do have virtual personal trainers as well if you prefer to do your workouts at home!
All of the personal training staff (including our virtual trainers) have nationally accredited board certifications through NASM or ACE and have years of experience under their belts training a variety of clients. Trainers are required to take 20 hours of continuing education every two years to stay certified and maintain their first aid and CPR certification.
Group fitness can be a fun way to increase your fitness level. From cardio to HIIT to weights we offer a variety of classes sure to make you sweat and keep you coming back for more! Some of our classes have virtual options as well!
Much like our personal trainers, our group fitness instructors have nationally accredited board certifications or licenses to teach their respective classes. All instructors create a safe, fun, and inclusive environment to make sure all fitness levels can take their classes. A beginner and a seasoned fitness enthusiast can both benefit from the same class and our instructors know how to teach at all levels. Certified instructors must take 20 hours of continuing education every two years to maintain their certification and all instructors must have their first aid and CPR certification.
Nutrition can often be one of the trickiest components to health. It can be confusing and we often see people with insecurities surrounding food. There is no “one-size-fits-all” diet either. We do not subscribe to fad diets, especially those that eliminate or restrict whole food groups. What we offer is to help our clients learn what the right amount of macronutrients and calories they need for their bodies and how to maintain a balance between all food groups, including those deemed “bad foods.” We want you to have a positive relationship with food and use it to not only fuel your body for health but also to what works for you and your lifestyle. Daily nutrition menus can be prescribed if needed as well.
We have three staff members who primarily handle our nutrition programming including a clinical registered dietician, a sports nutritionist, and a fitness nutrition specialist. Each professional stays within their scope of practice to ensure each client has a nutrition plan that is safe and effective. Online nutrition programming is also an option with one of our professionals.
